Weaknesses/ Resistances: He is highly resistant to physical injury and due to his rigorous training he never seems to tire out. He is, however, still human, and thus heals more slowly than other races. His mastery of chi allows him to see through even the most elaborate illusion. He now struggles with a darkness growing within him, which will occasionally incapacitate him and take over his body. (About once every 100 posts, or whenever he is beaten. Lasts 50 posts unless defeated.) He has extremely small spiritual pressure, and so cannot sense those who use it.
Powers:
Chi manipulation: He can manipulate his chi to produce a variety of effects and techniques, and draw in more from around him. He is a master at using environmental chi to supplement his own.
Chi techniques:
• Earth shield: He transfers chi to his foot, then steps on the ground, causing a wall of earth to rise, blocking an attack. This can be followed by strikes from Shane that will send spikes from the wall at an opponent.
• Flame bolts: He places his hands together(Gloved or ungloved) and begins firing bolts of fire as if they were shuriken by channeling his chi
• Chi bolts: He can fire concentrated chi in the form of bullets, or blasts.
• Whirlwind Technique: He manipulates the chi traveling through the air into a whirlwind, which tosses an opponent and traps him inside it.
• Chi enhancement: He can use chi to enhance his already powerful blows, as well as his speed. While he is using this technique, his melee blows can be felt from a distance. His speed reaches that of a Flash step while using this technique. His skin is able to block average strikes from blades in this form.
• Weapon Enhancement: He may use chi to extend the range of and harden a weapon.
• Chi touch: He can place a specific amount of chi into one finger and touch an opponent, causing paralysis(3 posts)
• Eternal youth: So long as he is not killed he will not age because of his mastery of chi.
Master Combatant: He is known as the world’s strongest martial artist, and can fight virtually anyone when it comes to skill, strength, and speed. He can use any weapon and every style known to both man and Shinigami.
Blazing Hand: This technique, available on to him, is his strongest. It unleashes all of the power he possesses as well as the chi in the environment in a massive wave that destroys whatever he is focused on defeating. When he uses this technique, he will remove the glove from his right hand, and it will begin to shine with a white glow, that will take the shape of a flame. He will then thrust his hand forward, releasing the attack. When it is finished, he will collapse and will not wake up for 10 posts.
Darkness Empowerment: Whenever he is on the verge of being defeated, or once every 100 posts (Whichever occurs first) Shane will be overcome by a dark being living inside of him. While under its influence he will be much stronger, faster, and more powerful than he normally is, but will no longer care about his friends. His Blazing Hand is replaced with the Darkness Overflow.
Darkness Overflow: This technique is similar to the Blazing Hand technique, however, it will destroy everything in its path EXCEPT the target. Instead the target will become a twisted version of himself, having a “demon” planted inside him that will control him once every 100 posts or whenever he is beaten. He will be heavily wounded by this attack, allowing the first control to begin immediately. This can only be removed by the Hero’s Crest.
Equipment (Includes weapon):
Hero’s Crest (The King): Bestowed upon Shane by his master, this crest which is located on his right hand allows him to purify darkness. He cannot use this on himself, however. He can give up to 4 other people crests
Weapon: His weapon of choice is a metal staff, about 6 feet long. This staff has a button on each side that, when pressed, will separate the staff into two katana, each six feet long. When these buttons are pressed again, a second blade will be released from each sword, making him wield two double-bladed swords. It is said he is the only one with the skill to use these properly.
He does, however, have an extensive range of normal weapons in addition to this.
Personality: He is a happy, easy going person most of the time. He will laugh at almost anything and is normally a very calm opponent who does enjoy his battles. When overcome, he becomes sarcastic, arrogant, and evil.

History: Shane came from a clan of powerful warriors, and was raised to become one as well. He began training with his master Kisuke at the age of 5 and completed his training at 25, at which age he ceased to age. He trained in the mountains for a few hundred years, fighting many people and never knowing defeat. One day, hearing of a powerful swordsman living nearby, Shane set out to a hut in the woods. There he met a Shinigami who had taken to living in the human world. They fought, and it ended in a tie, which amazed both of the warriors. They became friends after that and spent the next thousand years playing around with each other (causing and fighting each other in wars, getting drunk, ect.). They eventually got bored however and went their separate ways. Shane laid low for a very long time after that, keeping up with his training and eventually ended up living in New York City. He was present in New York when it became Hollowfied (Old site members may recall) due to his high amounts of chi he was able to resist being Hollowfied but the event took its toll on him, as he gained his inner darkness in this event. He decided to seek out his old friend for help, and so has entered the spirit realm through an old ritual.
